This actually an impressive guide and unlike any other travel and tourist guide I have read because of its review format which I really like. After reading this book, I felt the author had really been to Rio de Janeiro and focused mainly on giving tips, advice and recommendations. Of course the most important part for me was the accommodation, hotel and restaurants, anything else came second or last in priority. Part of my plan is to go to the recommended Pizzaria do Chico, Cervantes,and Komilao respectively the best pizza place there is and tasty pork place and the most budget restaurant you can find. I'm looking forward to visiting the recommended tourist places. The only thing the guide lacked was illustrations and pictures but that's okay because I can google the places myself to see the pictures.
This is a great guide to the famous Rio De Janeiro. Sometimes, the tour guides are way too expensive but does not even cover 50% of the wonderful places to go to and if you explore the place all by yourself, you'll likely get tricked in paying more than you should. This is the book you'll need if you plan to travel in Rio De Janeiro!
Wow this is a great secret for keeps. Rio de Janeiro is a wonderful place as per my husband. That is why I pick this book. And truly I agree with him. I am sharing this to my husband when he arrives soon. Markets and day trips are excellent share on this book.

We do not travel on our stomachs, so this was a little disappointing.... but interesting
What a great book. Covers so many activities to do while in Rio. Restaurants, beaches, clubs, museums, hiking, just so much to do. Planning a trip to Brazil with my mother in law, so this book will be quite handy!
